Matt is the chief orchardist and cider maker on the farm. We’ve planted over 500 heirloom cider apple trees, with the plan of adding another few hundred over the next two years. Each variety is carefully selected for the purpose of making artisan craft cider.
Many of the varieties are not common to this area and originate from the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe. Because of this, nearly every tree has been hand-grafted by Matt.
All of the trees are hand-grafted, hand-planted, pruned by us, and pollinated by our honey bees. The apples are hand-picked in the fall and we will soon have select cider apples available for sale in Fall of 2017!
